Marketplace Guide

How to buy, sell and navigate the Global Market
Getting Started

Welcome to the Albion Online Tools Marketplace

Our marketplace lets Albion Online players post and browse player-to-player trade listings directly on this site, completely separate from the in-game market. You can list items you want to sell, post buy requests, and contact other traders through Discord.

How it works
Step-by-step overview
1
Create a free account & link Discord

Register on Albion Online Tools and link your Discord account in Account Settings. Discord linking is required to post listings. It verifies you're a real player and lets buyers contact you directly.

You can still browse all listings without an account. Only posting requires login + Discord.
2
Browse the Global Market

The Global Market shows all active Sell Orders and Buy Orders from all servers. Use the search bar and filters to narrow results by item name, tier, server region, or order type.

Sell Orders

A player has an item and wants silver for it. You contact them and buy it at their listed price.

Buy Orders

A player wants to buy a specific item and is offering silver for it. You contact them and sell what they need.

3
Open a listing & contact the seller/buyer

Click any row on the market to open the full order page. There you'll see full item details, quality, location, server, and the seller's Discord tag. Copy or click their Discord to open a DM and arrange the trade directly in-game.

Always trade safely. Arrange the exchange in-game using Albion's built-in trade window. Never transfer items or silver outside of that.
4
Create your own listing

Go to Create Listing and fill in the form:

Order type: choose Sell (you have the item) or Buy (you want the item).
Item: type the item name and select from the suggestion list so the correct item ID is matched.
Price & quantity: enter the silver amount per unit and how many you have/want.
Quality & tier: set the item enchantment level and quality (Normal → Masterpiece) accurately.
Server & location: choose your game server (Europe / West / East) and the city where the item is located.
Your Discord tag is attached automatically from your linked account. Buyers/sellers will use it to reach you.
5
Manage your listings in My Inventory

Visit My Inventory to see all your active orders. Once a trade is complete, delete the listing so other players know it's no longer available. You can also edit or re-post listings at any time.

Item Quality & Tiers
Understanding item attributes
Normal Base quality, no bonus.
Good Slight stat improvement.
Outstanding Noticeable stat boost.
Excellent Significantly better stats.
Masterpiece Best possible quality, highest value.
Tiers (T1–T8) represent the base power level of an item. Higher tiers require more Fame to unlock and are generally more valuable. Enchantments (e.g. T4.1, T4.2, T4.3) add additional power on top of the tier.
Server Regions
Which server should I pick?
Europe

The original server, largest player base. Best for EU/CIS players.

West

Recommended for players in North & South America.

East

Recommended for players in Asia & Oceania.

Players on different servers cannot trade with each other. Make sure you play on the same server as the listing before contacting the poster.
For Buyers: Contacting a Seller
How on-site chat works

Every order page has a built-in Contact Seller button. Clicking it opens a private, marketplace-linked chat conversation right here on the site, with no Discord or external app required.

1
Open the order & click "Contact Seller"

From the Global Market, click any listing to open its order page. In the Seller Contact section you'll see a blue Contact Seller button. Clicking it creates a private chat conversation linked to that specific order and immediately takes you to your inbox.

2
Chat lives in your Messages inbox

Your conversation will appear under Market Chats in your Messages inbox, listed separately from regular Direct Messages. The order reference number is shown next to the chat so you always know which listing it belongs to.

If you already started a chat for the same order, clicking "Contact Seller" again will take you back to the existing conversation rather than opening a duplicate.
3
Agree on the deal & trade in-game

Use the chat to confirm price, quantity, location, and a time to meet in-game. Once you've agreed, meet the seller in Albion Online and complete the trade using the in-game trade window. Never hand over items or silver outside of that window.

Safety reminder: Albion Online Tools staff will never ask you to send items or silver through chat. Only complete trades through the in-game trade window.
4
Chat closes automatically when the order is completed

Once the seller marks the listing as Completed or Cancelled, the chat conversation is automatically locked, so no further messages can be sent. The conversation stays in your inbox under Closed Market Chats so you can review the message history.

For Sellers: Managing Incoming Chats
What happens when someone messages you

When an interested buyer clicks "Contact Seller" on your listing, a chat conversation is automatically created and you'll receive a notification. Here's how to handle it from start to finish.

1
You'll see a notification badge on the Messages icon

A red unread-count badge appears on the chat icon in the top navigation bar. Open your Messages inbox and find the conversation under Market Chats. Each market chat shows the order ID so you can identify which listing it's about.

You can have multiple simultaneous chats for the same listing if several buyers are interested. Each buyer gets their own separate conversation.
2
Reply and coordinate the trade

Reply inside the chat to confirm the details, such as quantity available, meet time and place in-game. Once agreed, meet the buyer in Albion Online and complete the exchange through the in-game trade window.

3
Mark the order as Completed or cancel it

After a successful trade you have two ways to close the listing:

Mark as Completed

Available inside the chat window via the Close Deal button, or on the order page itself. All open chats for that order are locked and a system message is sent to all buyers.

Cancel Listing

Found on the order detail page. Removes the listing from the market, locks all related chats, and redirects you back to the market index.

When an order is marked Completed or Cancelled, every buyer who contacted you receives a system message in their chat automatically, so no-one is left waiting.
4
Archive or close individual conversations

Inside any open chat you can also hit Close Chat to end just that one conversation without affecting the listing or other chats. Conversations can also be archived to keep your inbox tidy. Archived chats move to a separate section and can be unarchived at any time.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I contact a seller without an account?

No. The on-site chat requires you to be logged in. You can browse listings as a guest, but you'll need a free account (and Discord linked) to send a message to a seller.

What happens to the chat when an order is completed or cancelled?

All chat conversations tied to that order are automatically locked and no new messages can be sent. A system message is posted inside each conversation to inform all parties. The history remains readable in your inbox under Closed Market Chats.

Is the on-site chat the only way to contact a seller?

It's the recommended and safest method since the conversation stays linked to the order. If the seller has a public Discord tag visible on their profile you may also reach out there, but on-site chat keeps a clear record and is preferred.

As the seller, how do I know which order a chat is about?

Each market chat in your inbox shows the order reference number (e.g. #42) next to the buyer's name. You can click into the chat and see the item name and order details in the chat header, so you'll always know which listing triggered the conversation.

Is this marketplace connected to the in-game Albion market?

No. This is a separate, player-run board hosted on Albion Online Tools. Listings here are not synced with the in-game black market or city markets. All trades still happen in-game.

Does Albion Online Tools take a fee?

No. We never handle silver or items. Trades happen directly between players in-game. We don't charge any listing fee or commission.

Why do I need to link Discord to post?

Discord linking prevents spam and bots, and gives buyers/sellers a reliable way to contact each other. Your Discord username is shown on your listing so interested parties can DM you directly.

How do I delete a listing once it's sold?

Go to My Inventory and click the delete button on any completed order. Please remove listings promptly once a trade is done, as it keeps the market accurate for everyone.

What if someone doesn't respond or scams me?

Always use the in-game trade window, as this makes scams through item theft impossible. If a user is unresponsive or abusive, you can report them through our support system.

How long do listings stay active?

Listings remain active until you manually delete them or they expire. Check your listings regularly and remove ones that are no longer valid to maintain a trustworthy reputation.
